  DEVOTION TO COUNTRY

The Patriotic Degree's (also known as the "The Fourth Degree") primary purpose is to foster the spirit of patriotism by promoting responsible citizenship, and a love of and loyalty to the Knights' respective countries through active membership in local Patriotic Degree groups (called "assemblies"). Last year, Patriotic Degree Knights raised more than $500,000 for the planned National World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C.

Certain members of the Patriotic Degree promote the virtue of patriotism by serving in honor guards, color corps and promoting respect for country and the flag.
